Placemakr Downtown Austin

Placemakr offers more of an apartment feel vs a hotel. If you like continental breakfast and daily room service, Placemakr may not be your first choice. If you like to feel more like it is your place for a lengthier visit - it is likely a fit! The staff is amazing - by far the best part. They are super friendly and accommodating. Ask for T and he will ensure you get whatever you need - but ALL of the front desk employees are super friendly and helpful.

Booking with Airbnb made things a little confusing at first but the front desk staff Lucy was an absolute doll in getting us settled in. She was super informative of the area and got us checked in very quick. The rooms were beautiful and clean. it was a great stay in a good location close to our concert venue which was great! I would definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay and want to give a special thank you to the hotel manager, T. From the moment I arrived, T went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about the guest experience. Any question or request I had was handled quickly and with a great attitude. It’s rare to see management so involved and committed to making guests feel welcome. T truly sets the standard for hospitality and made my stay that much better. I would absolutely stay here again because of the excellent service.

I travel to Austin once a month on buisness foe a week at a time, I've stayed here 16 times and already have my stay booked for next moth. The rooms a very clean and comfortable with everything youmight need to cook foryourself and there's a Whole food less than a 5 minute walk away. Parking is easy, convinient, and secure, I've never had a problem. The staff is polite professional and quick to respond to any issues. In all my stays the only issue I've ever had was dead batteries in the TV remote control that the staff was quick to replace. The hotel is a very short walk to a variety of resturants and of course 6th street. One of the reasons I've chosen here toto stay in proximity to my office and a small but well equiped gym. My only critique is aboout the gym, the only thing missing is a cable trainer. I highly recomend Placemakr for quality convinence and cost! As a matter of fact I have recomended it to several of my couleagues who have enjoyed it as much as I have.

This place rocks! The entire staff is super accommodating, especially Tareema! She helped us a bunch when we first moved in and we’re trying to get settled :) I’m super happy with the location, rooms, and service. You would think with all the construction nearby + being next to I-35 that it would be super noisy, but it’s not at all. I was shocked! I love being able to walk to literally everything I need in 5-10 minutes. I come to Austin every year for 4-5 months so I’ll definitely be staying here again.

The Placemakr was fantastic, the staff was very friendly and helpful, I had a very easy check-in and check-out. There was a Whole Foods, Target, tons of cafes, and great restaurants all within walking distance (I loved Anthem). The rooms were comfortable, the facitlity had a gym, great conference rooms, I had everything I needed. I would recommend and stay again!

Hello My name is Esther Aczel. I am the Group Organizer and Head of HR at POLYGENCE. We held our annual Retreat in 2026 in Austin and chose placemkr Downtown as our hub for the 5 days program. Our team of 27 gave excellent feedback both about the Hotel and the upstairs meeting space (Clubroom). Check-in and check-out was seamless. I would like to praise the Front Desk Team: Zandy, Triniti and Lucy did a great job. Special thanks to Jalen Bright who was extremely helpful while I was setting up the place before and during the meetings. He did put an extra effort almost every day to accommodate our group, he provided help multiple times and did all that with a bright smile and kindness. Way to Go Jalen! We only had a little bit of technical problem with the large meeting room, but the GM AJ compensated us and we found another solution. Everything else was great! Thank you for everything!
